Box Assemblers(Temporary Positions)

We are recruiting for two temporary, full-time Box Assembler positions with the following schedules:

  • Sunday – Wednesday (1 position)
  • Wednesday – Saturday (1 position)

POSITION SUMMARY Stages boxes for production, loads material into box machine and/or makes boxes with tape gun. Readies boxes for production, moves finished goods to warehouses using various types of material handling equipment when filling in for Material Handler. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to pre stage and prep boxes for production
  • Must be able to assist line change outs.
  • Must be able to periodically stack finished product cases on to pallets for warehouse inventory
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Coordinates with shift personnel to insure all materials required to produce the product are pre staged to insure constant flow of goods
  • Meets the daily team goals based upon information provided by the Production Facilitator
  • Boxes that cannot be used due to damage, dirty, slits, breaks or gashes etc. must be disposed of.
  • Maintains daily production/scrap rate and completion of forms
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum six months working in warehouse, shipping or manufacturing preferred
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Must be able to operate a variety of material handling equipment specific to department including pallet jack, fork lift, etc.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to move (push/pull) material weighing up to 150 lbs. with the aid of a roll-jack
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work on feet all day for the entire shift
