Position Summary:
Responsible for all supervision, management of operations and the BSC Store and warehouse while serving and maintaining customer expectations. Meet sales and profit goals, maintain effective inventory levels through proper storage, receipt, issuance, shipment and protection of all material and equipment. Ensures compliance with company policies and directives, blind labor requirements, the Ability-One Program, and MOA/Contract objectives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors sales and data to ensure financial objectives are met per goals and objectives
- Maintain store staff by assisting HR with recruiting, selecting, orienting and training new employees; maintains blind employment staffing requirements; ensure all employees are trained in blindness awareness
- Promotes and maintains outstanding customer service relationships with all customers, local contracting office and senior base leadership
- Identifies current and future opportunities by establishing rapport with customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
- Acquires and retains new customers both on and off base per local objectives
- Supervises store staff to include scheduling, delegating, managing performance through coaching, counseling and feedback; training to understand operational requirements and the AbilityOne program
- Protects employees and customers by providing a safe, clean and secure working and shopping environment
- Monitors and maintains Essentially the Same (ETS) requirements and ensure an ETS free inventory
- Performs and supervises inventory management by following standard operating procedures for order processing, receiving, and issuing of materials
- Coordinates maintenance for building and equipment as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
