This event is particularly special to South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind. In partnership with the Corpus Christi¬† Police Department Bomb Squad and Health and Human Services Blind Children’s Program, STLB hosts an Easter Egg Hunt for local children who are blind or visually impaired and their immediate family members on the Saturday prior to Easter weekend. Thanks to the CCPD Bomb Squad, we have 200 large, brightly colored Easter eggs that beep so that participants can hunt for the eggs using their sense of hearing, rather than sight. In addition to the egg hunt, we also provide lots of other fun activities for families, including a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, moonwalks, crafts, and so much more! All proceeds from Beeping Eggstravaganza go straight to the event, ensuring that we are able to give these deserving families a very unique and memorable experience at no cost to them!
